Intentional Success: Building the Business and Life You Actually Want

Sometimes, there are more important things to do than send an email.

Last Thursday, I had planned to write to you.

It didn’t happen.

I was in Park City for our annual SECRETS Summit with our Landscape Lighting Secrets members. And honestly, I had more important things to focus on.

We were working ON our businesses.

We were solving problems, sharing ideas, and helping each other get clear on what we actually want our businesses—and our lives—to look like.

One topic we spent a lot of time discussing was Intentional Success.

Because here’s the thing:

Success doesn’t just happen.

Neither does freedom.

You don’t accidentally build the business and life you truly want.

You have to first decide what you want. Then, you have to become intentional about building it.

That means getting clear on your goals, making deliberate decisions, and taking consistent action toward the life and business you envision.

And sometimes, being intentional even means recognizing what deserves your attention right now.

So instead of writing this email last Thursday, I went back to helping our members do exactly that—build their businesses with greater clarity, purpose, and intention.

And I’d say that was probably the right decision.

The email could wait.

The work we were doing together couldn’t.

I’ll get back to my regularly scheduled emails next week.
